If you ask Australia’s Bobby Alu what his music sounds like, he’ll tell you how he hopes it makes you feel: like you have your favoritecocktail in hand, sipping as the sun sets on a balmy evening that’s laden with the promise of adventure. In an ideal world, he’d follow summer around the earth, in his endless quest to nail that feeling in his songs that ride the groove spectrum from Polynesian folk, through roots, soul to tropical pop.
With a reputation as a world-class performer –touring as Xavier Rudd’s percussionist for five years, and supporting the likes of Xavier, John Butler Trio and Trevor Hall across North America and Europe –it’s common to see punters exiting a show gesturingwarmly to their hearts.

ALYSHA BRILLA
Alysha Brilla is a 3X JUNO Award nominated composer, music producer and multi-instrumentalist weaving together global roots sounds into her music. She is the 2024 Canadian Screen Award nominated music composer for the score of Fawzia Mirza's 2023 Feature Film "The Queen Of My Dreams".
The child of an Indo-Tanzanian musician, Brilla’s original music is a colourful tapestry. Themes of re-connection with ourselves, each other and the earth are woven into uplifting rhythms and soulful melodies. In 2013, Brilla became one of the first self-produced female artists in history to receive a Juno Award nomination (Canada's Grammy Awards) for her debut album. Since then, her music has taken her around the world including tours across the U.S., Australia, Europe and South America. Brilla is currently recording her new album while writing and producing for other artists.
