Event Details

A fiery evening of Spanish music and dance with artists María Bermúdez, Manuel Gutiérrez, José Cortés, Andres Vadin, Alex Jordan, Diego Alvarez, and friends.

Maria 'LA Chacha' Bermudez is one of the most renowned flamenco artists of our time. She has exposed audiences across the world to the unique style and sound of Jerez de la Frontera, Spain —a city that recently honored her with the distinction of Embajadora del Flamenco de Jerez (Ambassador of Flamenco).

Award winning dancer and choreographer Manuel Gutierrez’s prolific career includes performing with the LA Opera and at flamenco festivals in Spain, Albuquerque, Los Angeles and throughout the world.

Jose Cortes is an award-winning Gypsy singer. Born into an important Gypsy family of Almeria, his career has taken him around the world since beginning his career at age 10 in Jerez, Spain where he won the coveted “PREMIO DEL JOVEN AFICIONADO DEL CANTE.”

Guitarist Andres Vadin’s talent spans genres while highlighting the flamenco guitar as a universal instrument with no boundaries. He graduated from the Guillermo Tomas and Almadeo Roldan Conservatory in Habana, Cuba and his worldwide career has included collaborations on Latin Grammy-nominated albums.

Diego "El Negro" Alvarez is a master cajón player from Venezuela who lived in Spain for two decades developing his career alongside the prestigious artists such as Joaquin Cortez, Antonio Canales, Sara Baras and Paco Peña. His work includes 12 Latin Grammy nominations and Best Rock album of the year for "Sera" by La Vida Boheme.

Guitarist Alex Jordan has toured throughout Latin America with well-known musicians including Marc Anthony, Alejandro Sanz and Ivan Vargas to name a few.

Flamenco Santa Barbara is a local nonprofit committed to proving access to the unique art form through live music performances, student scholarships, educational opportunities and more.
