This concert will spotlight the music of the legendary Herbie Hancock, with big band and combo performances of some of his most celebrated compositions, including "Chameleon," "Tell Me a Bedtime Story," and "Cantaloupe Island." Under the direction of Jonathan Nathan, the UCSB Jazz Ensemble will showcase both large and small group arrangements, offering an exciting range of sounds that capture Hancock’s signature fusion of jazz, funk, and soul.
